One Thousand Four Hundred Twelve Dollars

Today I was offered $1412 by The Citizen's Committee to Test The Separate Car Act. The things I could do with that money... But, I cannot accept. It would be unjust and wrong. They're a mixed group, white and black who are determined to see the Separate Car Act disbanded. I told them I would do it pro bono, and you could see the relief on their faces, the money was hard to get. I am glad to know that they are going to be financially safe.
